What are the squash serve rules?
Serve
1. Receiving position. When receiving the ball, you must stand behind the three-dimensional plane of the line of service to receive the ball, but the accompanying action can go beyond that plane.
2. Illegal serve (receive) the ball. Even if the receiver believes that the serve is illegal, the ball cannot be caught before it bounces on the ground twice, otherwise points will be lost.
3. Legally catch the ball. The receiver must hit the ball back after it has landed or bounced once, and it is a catch violation after the ball has bounced twice. After hitting the ball, the receiver must directly hit the ball back to the front wall, or bounce to the front wall through the side wall, ceiling, and back wall. The hit ball must not land before it hits the front wall, otherwise points will be lost.
4. Failed to return the ball. The server who fails to return the ball in accordance with the regulations will score 1 point.
Change serve
In the following situations, the athlete changes serve:
1. Lost the right to serve. Athlete loses the right to serve in the following situations: one missed serve, two consecutive missed serves, the server returns the ball and hits a partner, and the server fails to return the ball as required.
2. Exchange serve. In singles matches, players who lose the right to serve should change their serve. In doubles matches, when both players on a side lose their right to serve, they should change their serve.
3. Change the way of serving. When changing the serve, the server becomes the receiver and the receiver becomes the server.
