Squash is a competitive sport in a field surrounded by walls in accordance with certain rules. Mainly use the racket to hit each other against the rebound ball that the opponent hits on the wall.
Squash was developed by inmates in London prisons in the early 19th century who were free to hit the wall to exercise and adjust the atmosphere of prison life. Later, Halloo College, which cultivated descendants of the royal family in Britain, was improved. In the 20th century, squash has been widely popularized, and its techniques and tactics have also been innovated. The International Squash Federation, the world’s squash authority, was also formally established. In 1998, squash was listed as an official event of the Bangkok Asian Games.
The highest organization of squash in the world is the World Squash Federation. This organization was established in 1967 and is responsible for managing the development of squash games worldwide.
There are four major events in the professional squash world, namely the oldest British Squash Open and the Hong Kong Squash Open. There are also the Squash Championship and the World Squash Open held in New York, USA. In June each year, another Super Championship is held for the top 8 players in the world in the previous year.
The official Asian Squash Championships include the Asian Cup Squash Championships and the Asian Cup Youth Squash Championships. The Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, and Central Asian Games all have squash competitions.
