Do you want to know more about Platform tennis?
Padel, paddle tennis and Platform tennis are three similar but different sports. What’s more regrettable is that Platform tennis is often referred to as paddle tennis or adel by athletes. Therefore, it is difficult to know exactly what sports they are talking about. All three sports are derived from tennis. Padel is the most popular and widely used tennis sport in the world and one of the fastest growing sports.
There are 4 athletes in a game on the platform tennis court. The terrace tennis court is about 1/3 of the traditional tennis court. There is a barbed wire fence 12 feet (3.7 meters) high around it. The tensioned wire fence allows the ball to bounce off the wall and back into the field. And like pelota and squash, it can still be used in the game. The emergence of platform tennis was originally due to the fact that some venues were too small or not suitable for general tennis courts. The space under the platform allows heating equipment to be installed to facilitate playing throughout the year. Therefore, platform tennis is especially popular in winter when ordinary tennis courts may not be available.
The platform tennis platform is 60 feet (18 meters) long and 30 feet (9.1 meters) wide. The length of the court is 44 feet (13 meters), the width is 22 feet (6.7 meters), and it is divided into two parts by a net. The center of the net remains 34 inches (860 mm) high, and the ends are 37 inches (940 mm) high.
