What are the squash missed serve?
The winner of the coin toss can choose to serve first or receive first in the first game. The loser of the coin toss serves first in the second game. The serve in the third game shall be the player with the more total points in the first two games. If the total score of both players is the same in the first two rounds, the coin will be tossed again.
The following services are faulty services:
1. Violation of footsteps. When serving the ball, both feet are not in the service area, or the server crosses the starting area before the line of service after the ball, or the partner fails to stand in the doubles service area as required during doubles.
2. Short ball. The ball bounced back from the front wall and landed between the back service line and the front wall.
3. Three squash. The ball bounces from the front wall to one side wall and hits the other side wall directly before landing.
4. Ceiling ball. The ball bounces from the front wall to the ceiling before landing.
5. Long ball. After the ball bounces back from the front wall, it hits the back wall before landing.
6. Serve out of the room. The ball bounced off the front wall and flew out of the squash room before landing.
7. Throw the ball outside the line. Throw the ball outside the teeing area when serving and then hit the ball.
8. Obstruct the line of sight. The ball bounces back from the front wall and is too close to the server, making the receiver unable to see the ball’s flight path.
