Tennis ball specifications
The size of the ball used needs to meet the requirements, the diameter of the tennis ball is between (6.541 and 6.858 cm), and the weight is between (56.7 and 58.5 grams). The weight should be between 2 ounces (56.7 grams) and 2 1/6 ounces (58.5 grams).
If the game is played at an altitude of 4000 feet (1219 meters), two other special balls are required.
The first type is usually called a pressurized ball; the second type of ball is usually called a zero-pressure ball or a non-pressure ball.
All tests on the bounce, size and deformation of the ball must comply with the provisions of Appendix 1. The International Tennis Federation will make a ruling on any question about whether a certain ball or sample meets the above standards or whether it can be approved for use in the game.
